Life Fit Cairns is a mobile exercise physiology service operating in the Cairns area. This service provides an opportunity for clients to choose the location of their assessment and follow up visits.
Whether a home visit, office or mutually agreed location, a mobile service encourages the client to take a more active role in their management by utilising the facilities and equipment they have available.
Jenny graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation) in 2013 after completing undergraduate study in Sport and Exercise Science and Honours at James Cook University.
Having started her professional life as a hospital trained registered nurse in Brisbane, Jenny has spent the past twenty years as a paediatric medical practice manager in Cairns. During this time she became involved in her sons’ sport initially in the role of coach and administration and eventually as a sports trainer and strength and conditioning coach. The opportunity arose to study Sport and Exercise Science at JCU in the same year that her eldest son started university with the completion of her Masters the year before her youngest son finished his degree.
With a family history of chronic disease and personal experience with degenerative disease, Jenny’s interest in the use of exercise as a prescription for health and pain management continues to grow as does the realisation that physical activity has the potential to influence our ability to age disability free.
